Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

  • Supervise daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and maintain operational standards.
  • Ensure that health and safety regulations are adhered to, including food safety standards.

Staff Supervision:

  • Lead, train, and motivate restaurant staff to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Manage staffing levels and create duty rosters.
  • Handle staff issues, provide feedback, and carry out performance reviews.

Customer Service:

  • Resolve guest complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure high-quality guest experiences, from greeting upon arrival to farewell upon departure.
  • Gather feedback from guests to improve the dining experience.

Liaison with Kitchen:

  • Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order preparation.
  • Address any issues between the kitchen and the dining area.

Administrative Duties:

  • Oversee the reservation system, manage guest waitlists, and monitor restaurant occupancy.

Conduct inventory checks and manage the ordering of supplies as required.
Ensure daily sales and cash handling procedures are accurately followed.

Maintain Restaurant Ambiance:

  • Ensure the restaurant's cleanliness and aesthetics are up to standard.

Supervise the setting of tables, lighting, and background music to maintain the desired atmosphere.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Continuously seek ways to improve operational efficiency and service quality.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and implement best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role in the hospitality industry, preferably in a restaurant setting.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including food and beverage service.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and customer service orientation.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with grace and professionalism.
  • Proficient in [specific software or POS systems used by the restaurant, if applicable].
  • Speak and write fluent English.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
