Since we started our journey on a farm in Ullandhaug, we’ve come far with a small team. As we write this job ad, we are still just five people in the team; most of whom have been with Safteriet for 10 +/- years. Today we have our own production site in Stavanger from where we produce both juices and sodas, and we are currently installing the last bits of our brand-new production equipment. Besides continuing producing refreshing beverages for all ages, our future and what products we’ll introduce are up for grabs. We find this super exciting!
To join our team and take part in our further growth, we are now looking for our new sales manager. Titles and hierarchies are not important to us; our people are what make us what we are. We work as a team and always help each other out.
Job description
Our sales manager is responsible for, well you guessed it, sales. We need someone who can take charge of our sales department and grow it (currently it’s a one-man band on paper, but we work together). The right candidate will help us mature our sales operation and build our sales strategy (retail/grocery segment, HORECA, etc.). You have freedom to build, prioritize, and structure the department as you see fit, and you will do so in close liaison with the rest of the team.
The ideal candidate is an outgoing, enthusiastic, and professional non-quitter who’s able to work in a fast-paced, at times chaotic, environment. You are a team player, and you can juggle many tasks at once, prioritize and adapt to changing needs. You take ownership and responsibility, work independently and can make decisions. You take the initiative, you communicate, and you can fail fast without beating yourself or the team up, i.e., we learn from mistakes, and move on with a smile.
Even though we have been around for many years, you will find that our culture is that of a start-up. So, you need to thrive in a complex environment and help us as a company to grow, mature, and tidy up one step at a time, quickly yet patiently.
You work closely with the whole team, and especially the managing director.- You will develop our sales strategy and take a leading role in the execution of it.
- You will advise our beloved customers and strike a balance between what’s best for them and what’s best for us but (win-win).
- You help us ensure accurate pricing of our products.
- You conduct sales analysis and forecasting nationally and potentially abroad.
- You identify what’s needed to maximize our sales and performance.
- You participate in -and help plan events and festivals.
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (a Scandinavian language and English).
- Experience with sales and potentially from a similar role.
- You have a structured and analytical approach to work.
- You are proactive, bring ideas to the table, and identify challenges and solutions to help us succeed as a company.
- You work hard and efficiently, and you don’t leave things hanging.
- Great at building relationship - and at stakeholder management.
- Attention to detail as well as ability to step back and see the big picture.
- Proficiency in word, excel, PowerPoint and generally working with various systems incl. CRM.
- You communicate efficiently and honestly and ask for help instead of getting stuck trying to solve every challenge alone.
- You are a hands-on team player who’s not afraid of taking on a few ad hoc tasks when needed.
- You enjoy travelling nationally and potentially abroad now and then.
- Driver’s license is a must.
- Negotiation skills and experience with frame agreements is a plus.
- Experience working in a production environment and/or with FMCG is a plus but not a deal-breaker.
